What I Learned in Design School is _________.

8 weeks, Sept.—Dec. 2017

Jayme Yen

A collection of photos, portraits, and projects compiled from the Visual Communication Design class of 2018. In this publication, I hoped to capture the best qualities of our cohort, such as playfulness, diverse visual styles, and inside jokes.

Over the course of 8 weeks, I collected projects, surveyed students, designed, and bound the book. The final product is 193 pages, printed on 80-lb smooth text Accent Opaque paper, and perfect bound by me.

Visible grid: Appears on "in-progress" pages, such as photos from when projects were not completed yet.

Quotes: Collected and curated from our Snapchat group.

Portraits: In order to create an artifact that would best represent our class, I asked each student to submit their own senior photos, or have them taken in the VCD studio by Nicole Chen
